Status of the Center of Information Resources
The Center of Information Resources at UCM (CIZ)
-
comprehensively provides library services, information services, publishing services, and personal data protection at UCM;
-
offers comprehensive library and information services to academic staff, students of the university, and other professional public;
-
acquires, processes, provides access to, and preserves the information resources of domestic and foreign primary and secondary sources;
-
provides specialized bibliographic and information services;
-
bibliographically registers and preserves the collection of theses and other qualification works of students and creative workers of the university;
-
processes and records the publication activity of creative workers at the university;
-
collaborates with authors, publishers, and printing houses; processes licensing agreements with authors and contracts with publishers and printing houses; plans budgetary resources and others in accordance with the annual plan of publishing activities.
The Center of Information Resources fulfills the following functions:

Function of an academic library, whose main mission is to acquire, process, preserve, and provide information, literature, and other cultural values.

Realizes publishing activities, which are a significant area of activity for members of the academic community, ensuring freedom of scientific research and the dissemination of its results. The task of publishing activities is to ensure the publication of study literature, scientific papers, journals, and other literature intended for the needs of the university.
