Invitation to the lecture Preventing and Addressing Sexual Harassment in Higher Education

You are cordially invited to attend a lecture by Mgr. Magdalena Musilová, PhD, LL.M., entitled "Preventing and Addressing Sexual Harassment in Higher Education", which will take place on November 6, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the UCM Library.
The lecture is intended for all male and female staff, faculty, and students who wish to actively participate in building a culture of gender equality. You will learn how to recognize different forms of behavior that can be considered sexual harassment and what negative consequences it can have on individuals and on campus.
The talk will also focus on practical advice - how to respond if someone confides their experience to you, and what steps to take to address sexual harassment within the University. The goal is to raise awareness of this serious issue and provide concrete tools to effectively address it.
The lecture will be led by an expert from the Institute for Work and Family Research, Mgr. Magdaléna Musilová, PhD., LL.M. Join us and help create a safer academic environment.
Mgr. Magdaléna Musilová, PhD., LL.M. has both a law and management background. In addition, she holds a Master's degree in Human Rights from Central European University in Vienna (2021). As part of her PhD studies at the Faculty of Management of Comenius University in Bratislava (2019), she focused on the disadvantaged position of young people in the labour market. Her research interests include sexual harassment, the labour market, unemployment, discrimination and disadvantage in the labour market, gender equality, finance and ethical investing.
