Fourth Evening University to raise the topic of the climate crisis

The invitation was accepted by meteorologist and climatologist Jaroslava Slavková, journalist Jakub Filo, doctoral student at the Department of Environmental Sciences of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of UCM Lenka Vavrincová and municipal politician Peter Bročka.

They will discuss the challenge facing our whole society. A warming planet, more frequent and more extreme natural disasters and the loss of biodiversity are just some of the manifestations of climate change. Slovakia, like the rest of the world, is facing a gradual environmental crisis that requires not only new technological solutions but also a change in people's values. The evening university entitled Together Against the Climate Crisis will try to find solutions to get out of the problem from a scientific, social and practical point of view.

UCM's regular discussion format aims to introduce current societal issues through attractive discussions with external guests and experts from academia. This discussion will take place on Tuesday, 26 November at 18.00 in the premises of the Little Berlin at Štefánikova 4 in Trnava. Admission is free for all visitors.
