Study programmes conducted at UCM are approved by the Internal Quality Assessment Council (IQAC) as the highest internal body of UCM deciding on the granting of the authorisation to conduct a programme of study in the field and degree in which UCM has been granted the authorisation to conduct it, as entered in the Register of Fields of Study and the Register of programmes of study.
RVHK is also the highest internal body of UCM assessing applications to the Slovak Accreditation Agency for Higher Education for accreditation of a programme of study in a field of study and degree in which UCM has not been granted the right to carry it out. If the RVHC decides to grant the authorisation to carry out the SP in the relevant field and degree of study, it proposes to the Rector to issue a "Decision on granting internal authorisation to carry out the study programme".
