Rigorous procedure

The National Rigorous Examination is an optional examination that you can take if you have completed the selected Master's degree programmes. The examination includes the defence of the rigorosum thesis. This thesis must contain an original treatment of a problem in the field or original results in the field at a level that corresponds to the publication standard of the field. For defending your thesis, you will be awarded a diploma and an academic degree, depending on the field or discipline. These are the titles, PhD, RNDr., which are listed before the name. The system of preparation and the conditions of the rigorosum examinations are determined by the faculties.
