When I was finishing my PhD, I had an offer from Denník N to do sports journalism full-time on my desk for about a year - I had wanted to do that for years. It was a clear choice. I love journalism and I respect Denník N as a medium. I couldn't turn it down.

The thing I value most is that the school gave me a world of contacts. We had people from the practice coming to our classes. If one is a little bit active, one finds that it's very easy to get into an advertising agency. My first advertising-related internship was in my second year. When I left as a graduate student in my fifth year, I had a three-year internship under my belt.

Erik Urc from the Faculty of Social Sciences became the first student ombudsman not only at UCM, but also in Slovakia. At the faculty, he serves as the Vice Dean for Development and teaches a course on PR activities, which is designed for communication and feedback from students, as well as developing the image of the faculty.

At the Institute of Nanotechnology KIT in Karlsruhe, he worked on palladium-catalyzed crosscoupling reactions, preparation and deposition of magnetoactive charge-neutral complexes on functional surfaces. His main scientific interest covers the field of molecular magnetism, where he was responsible for the discovery of Reciprocal Temperature Behavior in slow magnetic relaxation processes.

In the very embryo of my decision to study psychology, it was mainly a tendency to help others. I felt that people could form a bond with me, that I could listen to them, and that I didn't judge them, which allowed them to open up to me more and more. I now pass on my research and practice experience to students, as well as to clients in psychological counselling.

You can study full-time or part-time. There is a fee for part-time study.

After this deadline, if all places are not filled, we announce a second round of admissions, which has a deadline for applications:

Come and see our environment in person and get to know the atmosphere of the university during the Open Week. You will have the opportunity to meet teachers, students and learn more about our programmes and school life.
Or come and see us at education fairs outside the country.
Submit your e-application
Once you know which study programme you're interested in, apply online via our portal. Don't forget to fill in all the necessary data and information or attach any required attachments.
The admission fee is set by the faculties.
Somewhere there are also admission tests
Prepare for the entrance exams, which are part of the admission process for some programmes. Be prepared to demonstrate your skills and knowledge in areas relevant to the programme.
We'll help you prepare for the entrance exams.
You will find out whether you are taking the admissions exams or not when you choose your programme of study. So read carefully.
Don't forget to attach all documents
In order for us to process your application and enrol you, please make sure you have submitted all the required documents, such as your school leaving certificate, dormitory card, etc.
You can find what you need to submit in the letter from the studies department. Meeting the deadlines and completing the documentation is crucial for successful admission.
Come and enrol
Once you have successfully completed the admissions process and have been accepted, come in person (or send a proxy) to enroll at our university. Dates will be announced on the website and information will also be sent to you in the mail. We look forward to welcoming you to our campus!
WHAT IF THE ENTRANCE EXAMS DON'T GO WELL
For some study programs, entrance exams are required, and they may not always go as planned.
We understand that entrance exams can be challenging, but don't despair. If things don't work out initially, you still have options to study at UCM. You can consider appealing your admission decision, where we will reevaluate your application, or explore alternative study programs or study formats, such as part-time study.
However, we believe in your ability to succeed in the entrance exams, and hopefully, these options won't be necessary for you.
