The Applied Computer Science degree program provides students with fully equipped computer labs. There is also no shortage of new technology in the form of virtual reality, VR walk motion platform, testing room and much more. In the Chemistry and Applied Chemistry degree programmes, for example, you can work with a unique instrument in the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Laboratory that can analyse the chemical structure of the substance under study in a flash. In addition to other professional laboratories, students have the opportunity to complete a paid summer internship at the Institute of Polymers at the Slovak Academy of Sciences. In the Environmental Conservation and Restoration or Environmental Engineering degree programme, you can try your hand at working with cutting-edge instruments in the field, with the aim of fostering creative thinking, independent work and an innovative approach to using the knowledge gained in environmental science, environmental protection and the creation of new technologies that are less damaging to the environment. At the same time, as the only university in Slovakia, we have a positron emission tomograph, which can be used by students in their experimental activities. Students can also cooperate with institutions from practice, such as the Nuclear Decommissioning Company Bratislava, BIONT, the Research Institute of Nuclear Energy Trnava, the Research Institute of Plant Production NPPC Piešt'any. They can also participate in various projects such as Let's Save Wetlands Together and take part in field research and monitoring directly in nature.
