In the bachelor's degree, two basic educational goals are identified:
1. Qualitatively prepare the graduate of the combined teaching study program to continue in the master's study. According to Act no. 138/2019 Coll. on pedagogical employees and professional employees and on the amendment and addition of certain laws §11, the required level of education for elementary school teachers and secondary school teachers is at least a second-level university education. 2. Adequately prepare the graduate for the profession of teaching assistant.
Profile of a graduate of a bachelor's degree in education aimed at teaching assistant:
A graduate in the position of pedagogical assistant can, according to the requirements of the teacher, educator or master of vocational education and in cooperation with professional employees, create equality of opportunities in education and training, help a child, pupil or a group of children or pupils in overcoming architectural, informational, linguistic, health, social or cultural barriers.
Education outcomes in categories:
1. Knowledge: the graduate will master the knowledge of pedagogical and psychological disciplines focused on individual work with a student or a group of students with specific educational needs.
2. Skills: under the guidance of a teacher, a graduate can participate in the implementation of educational activities directly in the school environment, independently perform less demanding and auxiliary work in the educational process.
3. Professional competences: the graduate will have developed competences in particular - to identify the developmental and individual characteristics of the pupil, to identify the psychological and social factors of the pupil's learning, to identify the socio-cultural context of the pupil's development, to implement methods of working with pupils with specific educational needs, plan and implement their professional growth and self-development, cooperate effectively with other professionals, identify with their professional role and school.
4. Transferable competences: the graduate will have developed communication skills, organizational skills, digital skills, creativity, interpersonal skills, mentoring skills, metacognitive skills and reasoning in context, work in and with a team, the ability to handle stressful situations and obstacles, the ability adapt to changed circumstances and the ability to work in an intercultural environment.
General characteristics of the professional profile of a graduate of the study program Teaching citizenship education (in combination):
Graduates of teaching study programs have knowledge of biological, psychological and social aspects of individual development, know and understand the concept of the institutional socialization process in broader social science contexts. The graduate has a basic overview of the social structure of society, its statics and dynamics, understands the educational needs and specifics of diverse social groups. He masters the issue of pedagogical work in the context of the diversity of the educated population. Has basic knowledge about the differences in the development of individuals resulting from their health or social disadvantages, or giftedness and talent, so that he can effectively cooperate with special educators, psychologists and other experts and follow their professional advice when implementing the educational process in the conditions of inclusive education. recommendations and conclusions. The graduate has basic scientific knowledge in profile educational areas or specializations of his work. He knows the current state educational programs, he knows the theoretical foundations of designing, implementing and evaluating education and training. The graduate masters the theoretical and practical connections between the content of education and professional didactics or didactics and methodology in profile educational areas or specializations of their work. The graduate knows the Slovak school system, legal context and curricular contexts of the teaching profession, knows the structure and background of the profession. He has basic psychological, pedagogical and didactic knowledge, allowing to understand the relationship between the processes of learning and teaching, education and upbringing of an individual and the dynamics of a social group.
Graduates of teaching study programs can identify the developmental and individual characteristics and individual educational needs of an individual, accept the individuality of the student, have basic practical experience in identifying the psychological and social factors of individual learning, accept the diversity of students in the socio-cultural context. The graduate is familiar with generally binding legal regulations relating to the work of a teacher, in pedagogical and other documentation, in other conceptual and strategic documents and school materials. He can record, analyze and solve various pedagogical situations, he has the skills of effective planning, projecting, management and organization of the educational process in profile educational areas or in his specialization. Has basic methodological skills in profile educational areas or specializations. Can effectively use information and communication technologies in the educational process. He is able to apply an appropriate method of pedagogical assessment and evaluation and is able to modify and make his activities more efficient. Can effectively communicate and cooperate with the external environment (parents, foster carers, community, etc.).
The knowledge profile of a graduate of the 1st degree of the program Teaching citizenship education (combined) is an integration of knowledge from the social-scientific and pedagogical-psychological basis and theoretical knowledge from profiling disciplines (philosophy, economics, sociology, political science, law). The priority task is to prepare the graduate so that he can successfully continue his studies in the Teaching of Citizenship Education program (in combination) at the 2nd level of higher education.
The aim of our bachelor's study program Teaching citizenship education (combined) is to prepare the graduate so that he/she is able
- understand the subject context of the field, i.e. j. know its basic structural branches and areas
- to navigate scientific texts
- understand specialized knowledge in the discipline of subject specialization
- assist in solving professional tasks in the discipline of their subject specialization
- to apply within their field, or to continue at the next level of education in their own or a related field of study.

Note
When registering the application electronically:
- the applicant is obliged to save the application uploaded in AIS (electronic application) (the status of the application "registered" is not sufficient,
- we recommend using the electronic student book. Applicants who will graduate in the academic year 2024, submit a list of grades for the 1st to 3rd year (4-year study), or for the 2nd to 4th year (5-year study). The report card from the last year and the matriculation certificate must be delivered additionally by post to the study department.
- in case the applicant does not have the possibility to use the electronic student book, it is necessary to send certified copies of the documents by post to the study department,
in the attachment of the electronic application, the applicant uploads a CV and confirmation of payment of the fee for the admission procedure. - the applicant, who graduated before 2024, will deliver to the Study Department (in person or by post) certified copies of the report cards for the 1st to 4th year (4-year study), or for the 2nd to 5th year (5-year study) together with the school leaving certificate.
When applying in writing:
- the application along with all mandatory attachments must be sent by mail to the address: Study Department FF UCM, Nám. J. Herdu 2, 917 01 Trnava, or hand it in at the post office,
- applicants who graduate in the academic year 2024 send the report card from the last year of study and the matriculation certificate additionally by mail.

The applicant is obliged to submit a decision on the recognition of a document on education obtained outside the territory of the Slovak Republic no later than the day of registration.

Information for international applicants to download
For the study of all study programs - including the study of foreign languages - knowledge of the Slovak language is required. Foreign students who do not have a high school diploma in the Slovak language or a university diploma from a Slovak university must take a language exam.
This condition does not apply to students with Czech citizenship.
It is necessary to register for the language exam in the online form no later than August 20, 2024.
Владение словацким языком требуется для всех учебных программ – включая иностранные языки. Для иностранных студентов, которые не подтверждают свой аттестат зрелости по словацкому языку или университетский диплом словацкого университета, сдача экзамена по словацкому языку является обязательной.
