Graduates of the Applied Biology study program will acquire the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge, experience and habits that will enable them to understand essential facts, principles and theories in biology, to know the connections between biology and other natural sciences, to have basic knowledge of them and to be able to acquire, sort, process and use them in solving basic and applied biological research tasks. They have the ability to make independent decisions when solving problems and proposing measures, they are capable of participating in the creation of projects and successfully implementing them in practice. A graduate of Biology (1st degree) can solve problems of biological research, practical tasks of applied biology, has knowledge and skills in research methods of living systems at different levels of their organization (molecule, cell, organism, population, ecosystem). Graduates of the Biology department have knowledge of biological scientific disciplines, knowledge of several chemical disciplines and frontier scientific disciplines, and can use biological and chemical methods when solving practical tasks.
