Graduate profile and educational goals:
- the graduate will receive a comprehensive second-level education in applied informatics with a focus on mobile and computer networks, on the decentralization of the processing of large volumes of data and on web technologies with an emphasis on the use of artificial intelligence in human-computer interaction
- will gain experience with hypothesis formulation, experimental design, hypothesis verification and data analysis
- will learn to critically apply knowledge from applied mathematics, from the architecture of fixed and mobile communication networks, from the design of parallelization of calculations within cloud computing and big data processing, from web interface technology and the creation of applications for social networks and computer games, while being able to choose the most suitable methods , techniques and means both from the technological field as well as from the field of artificial and computational intelligence
- will be able to carry out research and development in the field of networking of heterogeneous systems, including parallel computing and corporate web interfaces, find own solutions to problems and creatively implement developed approaches in various application areas
- he will have experienced the legal, economic, social and moral contexts of his profession in its social concept
- he/she will be prepared both for studying a third-level study program and building a scientific career, as well as for immediate entry into professional practice, where he/she will be able to participate in a software team and possibly lead it
- learns the need to proactively search for and independently use foreign language professional literature as part of lifelong learning.
The graduate will find employment as a member of a creative team or a senior worker in various branches of industry, in the educational system, both in the public and private sectors, in banking, transport, healthcare, etc. and wherever there are opportunities to use informatics applications; will also apply as a project manager and information systems operator.

Admission Requirements for Full-Time and Part-Time Study

Number of students admitted to the study program: 30
The basic condition for admission to the study of the second degree study program is the completion of the first degree study program (according to § 56 paragraph 2 of Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on Universities and on Amendments and Supplements to Certain Acts).
The admission procedure takes place without an entrance exam.
When being admitted to the chosen study program, the fact is taken into account whether the applicant completed the study program at FPV UCM in Trnava or at another university of a related field. The result of the bachelor's study is evaluated during admission to the master's study program. In the case of applicants from other faculties and completing a bachelor's degree in related fields, the composition of completed subjects in the first degree is also evaluated. In the case of completing a bachelor's degree in related fields, the FPV admissions committee may require admission exams. More infomration here.
