The Vice-Rector for Science and Research is methodologically responsible and accountable to the Rector in particular for:

the concept of education and evaluation of its implementation at the university,
coordinating the creation of new fields of study and programmes, completing accreditation files,
cooperation and coordination of activities in the field of education and training with faculties, institutes, institutes, domestic and foreign institutions,
coordination of teaching according to approved study programmes; the activities of the study departments,
coordination of the preparation of the review process of deans' decisions on non-admission to studies in accordance with the Higher Education Act, in matters of exclusion from studies and in matters of scholarships,
integration of students with specific needs at UCM,
the activities of the University in the field of creating optimal conditions for studies, accommodation, catering in cooperation with the Vice-Rector of the University for Development and the Bursar,
the operation of the Department of Academic Activities of UCM,
the operation of the UCM Study Department,
the operation of the Counselling and Legal Centre for students from socially disadvantaged backgrounds and students with specific needs and the Centre for Spiritual Services
by virtue of his academic position,
he is a member of the UCM Scientific Council, where he is responsible for the preparation of materials for the Scientific Council meetings.
