The Faculty of Social Sciences of UCM traditionally organized a knowledge competition about the EU
The aim of this knowledge competition was to increase knowledge about the functioning of the European Union. It was also to encourage active communication and positive relationship building among secondary school students.
The first prize was awarded to the students of the Gymnasium Vojtech Mihálik in Seredi. The second place went to the team represented by students of Gymnasium Ján Hollý in Trnava. Third place went to a team of students from the Gymnasium on Golianova Street in Nitra.
The Trnava final was preceded by an electronic round on 21 October. 242 teams from all over Slovakia took part. The eight most successful teams advanced to the final round, which took place on 8 November at the Aula Jozef Matúš UCM in Trnava.
The competition was sponsored by the European Centre for Civic Excellence and the Representation of the European Commission in the Slovak Republic. The final of the EU Olympiad took place for the ninth time at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava on 11 November.
