UCM Becomes the New National Centre for the Baltic University Programme
The University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava has joined the prestigious association The Baltic University Programme - BUP. The organisation brings together more than 100 universities from the Baltic Sea Region and is one of the largest university collaborations in the world. Together they work on sustainable development, environmental protection and democracy promotion.
The Baltic University Programme (BUP) aims to create new forms of cooperation between universities and between universities and wider society. The focus is on building strong regional learning and research communities. At the same time, the programme raises awareness of the key challenges of our time, such as sustainable development, environmental protection and strengthening democracy and peace in the region.
The universities involved in BUP have signed an inter-university agreement that commits them to active participation in the programme. As a member university, UCM Trnava will play an important role in shaping the programme's framework, activities and outcomes. This cooperation opens up new opportunities for research, education and international exchange of experience.
