Soil in the Mirror of Interdisciplinary Science

The project Soil in the Mirror of Interdisciplinary Science (PIDVE) explores the importance of soil in contemporary society and brings new, scientifically based knowledge, enriched with Slovak historical and ethnological contexts.

It builds on the Horizon Europe-funded LOESS project, which analyses and improves soil science education in 17 European countries. PIDVE takes this knowledge further, creating visually appealing materials, interactive tools and virtual presentations to help the general public, students, professionals and policy makers better understand and appreciate soil as an essential resource for a sustainable future.
