Eco-tourism Design
The workpackage examines the relationships between land configuration, landscape relief, and tourism. It focuses on the latest trends and approaches to sustainable land use that inspire the creation and management of sustainable tourism products and services. At the same time, the project links practical economic activities with land use and identifyies key areas that can support the responsible use of location-based conditions for the development of tourism in Slovakia.
This research also reveals interesting connections between land and attractive locations that appeal to both young people and the general public. These insights motivate regions to implement sustainable practices, thus increasing awareness of the importance of land for sustainable development.
In this way, the project contributes to linking interdisciplinary science with practical challenges in land management, environmental protection, and sustainable tourism, while also raising awareness of the importance of land in the context of ecological communities, cultural heritage, and historical changes in land use in Slovakia.
